Arnie: How do you do TA on a new company, or newly re-organized company?
When you invested in Nextel, it wasn't even a skeleton of the old Nextel. The old charts couldn't have meant much. The company was completely reorganized and on a new updated mission.
The approach sound scientific, but it just plain comes down to emotion. You like the company, the product, the business plan, the major investor, the potential, your entry position. This is a good approach, as financial analysis is non-existant at the time of investment.
What do you like about RII? Hey, I just figured it out. RII has the same excitement as Nextel for you. Arnie, it's your personality. Product, potential, major investor, entry position. Thats what draws your attention. It's the excitement of being part of a company that has the potential to be very successful. Do your other investments meet the same criteria? I'll bet yes.
Maybe the abbreviation TA actually stands for ATA. Arnie's Technical Analysis. Arnie, you should jot down your methods, publish them, the headline should read. "If you don't want to invest in boring companies, read on" "Useing the ATA method of picking your investments will make you money, and at the same time, enable you to feel the excitement of being an intergral part of the company's growth"
Regards again from Al G., just a boring guy whos growth has been stunted. |
