Tim, Michael -- Let's not forget Sec'y of Treasury Rubin, who stared down the Congress (how could you hold those idiots up as GOOD?) when they threatened not to honor the US bond. Anyone care to guess what THAT would have done to the US and world economy? At least Clinton had the good sense to follow Rubin's lead. Clinton's greatest strength has been to hire and follow people smarter than he.
