FYI re: absence of David Pickering

To All,

David Pickering is no longer able to post online.

Given his position at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, this is in accordance with firm policy that was made known to him at their periodic review process. Although he had a "final" post prepared, he has been unable to receive permission to post. I would like to make it clear that in talking with him, I believe that he was sincerely disappointed that he would be unable to answer many of the questions that had been presented to him online as there are many who have grown to depend on some of the information that he has provided.

Personally, I feel this is quite unfortunate for all interested in Thermo Tech. Although I have disagreed with him on a few issues as they relate to Thermo Tech, I believe that David Pickering is honourable and has attempted to the best of his ability to answer questions honestly with the information that he has been provided.

FYI (unfinished business): at the end of this week, David and the researcher from Auburn Unversity will be visiting the Hamilton facility to test the quality of the end product.

I am certain that many of us will miss his posts as they were some of the few posts to consistently post information with a high degree of reliability; he always cited his sources, attempted to be forthright in his posts, and even often kept from editorializing presenting information that he had been able to obtain given his position and the shares that he represents -- qualities that I admire and respect; qualities that have been very much lacking from many posters.

I am certain that any who wish to do so, can still reach him by e-mail (that can still be found on his profile on SI -- though not for long).
