I'm not a bit surprised that people would see you this way. I used to think of myself as a peacemaker between arguing factions. Now I'm too much of a grinch because the loonies are too numerous and too many of them are in the government. I've had to resort to keeping my mouth shut. I won a majority votes of the people of my little town to become a "neighborhood representative" on the merits of being able to negotiate and work with the county bureaucracy to enrich and make more secure the lives of the people of my neighborhood.
