I perceive, but cannot prove, that they are experiencing bigger first-time orders from bigger customers.

Their first years were lots of small orders from a spectrum of customers (in terms of size). Then the repeat orders became larger. Now, big customers no longer require proof that this stuff works. The references are there for them. The big boys have major points of pain in storage and performance (caching) that NTAP can solve quickly and inexpensively.
