Ish -- this is a test. You may grade it yourself. Did The Polite One's post this evening imply that I was drunk? Define "assumed out the ass" Is it against thread rules to make assumptions? Where is the line between mere assuming and a lot of assuming? Is assuming, to any degree, evidence of being drunk? In any case, did I not preface my assumptions with an admission that making assumptions is kind of silly? It's not like I sneakily implied that Joan was this or that -- I made it very clear that I was guessing. Did Joan make a "guess" that I might have been drunk last night or did her comment leave any doubt in your mind? Respect? I disagreed with a couple of things the woman said. Rather than defend her views, she slithered away in a fog of obfuscation and batted away questions with remarks like "It was only a hypothetical example." Well, it was her example -- I asked her to provide another but she let it drop. Did you think "Joannie Baloney" was disrespectful? I thought "baloney" showed an admirable degree of gentlemanly restraint. Oh, well. Think there's any chance she might go to Coug's party with me :-)
