Marshall, before you start asking me programming questions you might want to check out www.babb.com/osa and note that I am CEO of the company. It should be immediately obvious to you that I, or someone who works for me, could answer almost any programming question you could dream up in almost any computer language and document that answer in any of a dozen or so spoken languages if I thought it worth the effort.

Let's try checking your knowledge, is the following code written in C or Cobol?

/* IDENTIFICATION DIVISION.
AUTHOR. Tom Dawes-Gamble (c) 1991
REMARKS.
Is this C or COBOL ?????
*/
# define DISPLAY printf(
# define PROCEDURE main(
# define DIVISION ){
# define STOP printf("\n"); exit(0);
# define RUN }

PROCEDURE DIVISION
/* .
*/
DISPLAY "Hello World"
/**/ );
/* .
*/
STOP RUN
/* .
*/

And a second question: discuss the date conversion (2 digit to 4 digit) that is built into the proposed new COBOL standards now under review and compare it to the "Windowing" function being offered by Matridigm.

If you are a good COBOL or C or FORTRAN programmer and are willing to relocate to GA, I do have some job openings doing y2k compliance for power companies among other things.
