Muthusamy,

Oracle has focused on eliminating SAP as a competitor in its market, It has from what I understand changed the Internals of V8 to make the current SAP R3 incompatible.....

As far as the quality of Oracle Financials/Manufacturing, These products are VERY good, Plus they provide Oracle with another large revenue stream in the consulting area of these products....

The hardest part of implementing Financials, whether Oracle or SAP, is finding the people to do so..... Oracle has a much bigger consulting force to work with than SAP. Plus I believe Oracle Financials have a much larger customer base than SAP R3.....

and as far as the stock price, Oracle hit $50 today, it was mid-thirties only a month or so ago, not a bad little run up if you ask me..... (besides Oracle has always been a slow but steady mover)
Not only that, but (I've stated this before) Oracle over the last 5 years is up more than 2200% (against Intel's approximate 700%) (msft is somewhere in line with intel)
