Two Little nuggets (FWIW).

NUMBER 1:This morning's Sunday Morning news program featured a segment with legendary (never-a-losing-year) investor Roy Neuberger. One of his insights caught my attention. To whit (papaphrase):" I think the popular fixation on quarterly earnings - reactions to meeting expectations, being punished for a missed penny or two - is ridiculous" . For obvious reasons, I felt he was speaking directly to me.

NUMBER 2: Today's Sunday paper has a multipage article about Dr. Charles Palmer, and the "IBM Global Security Analysis Lab" that he heads. This lab advises companies about securing their installations, and, generally, tries to stay ahead of the hackers. Among his recommendations for data security for individual computer users (point 2 of three) : "Keep important documents, like income tax records, on diskette under lock and key".

I can't fit my turbotax stuff on a floppy - oh, what do I do? :-)
