Forty-four percent of U.S. adults said paying for the rising cost of gasoline was a serious problem as the economy slowed in the last year, followed by 29% who cited the ability to secure a well-paying job or a pay raise as a major issue, according to a poll released Tuesday of 2,003 adults from the nonprofit, nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation in Washington. Nearly the same portion, 28%, said paying for health care and health insurance was a serious problem.
