I would imagine that event is the reason he was appointed. While I supported EIT, I believe Comey showed what true public servants are made of at that instant. Sadly, he made a poor choice with respect to HRC. I thought it was the correct choice at the time but as the facts have come out later it is clear that he was allowing politics to drive his decision process. Sadly.
