1) They probably could lift the worse part of the restriction for renting - lose of songs if you miss a month. Skip a few months and reactivate the gazillion songs (probably for an extra fee)

2) It's like the argument about owning or renting in general - furniture, (lease) cars, etc.

If you plan to own it more than xx amount of time, it's more worthwhile to purchase.

Since (most) people like to keep their songs as long as possible....
