It was cheaper and faster to go to the store and buy a low-end PC."<< He's still gonna have to do something to keep his new machine free of viruses, worms and adware....it's a never ending battle. Jeez, he coulda reformatted the hard drive on the old machine and given it to a school, throwing it in the dumpster seems ridiculously wasteful to me.
