Another issue with the "blink" is that some users use the mail box itself as a file holder, for stuff that isn't important enough to make a real file folder, but they still want to keep the item around for a while. The blink would be continually blinking at them for an annoyingly long time. Some users keep their mailbox at a near-constant "zero", filing or deleting asap. However, for those who tend to keep a few PMs around for an extended period, it would be a strain, for sure. Web denizens have spent the last 10 years trying to eradicate that tag, and thankfully, like smallpox, ... "Blinking text is generally frowned upon and I would not want to do that ..."
