start from scratch [if] website lost?

dawgy,

Maybe 99DAN and others can post their experiences.

I don't have a website, but I know that the photobucket.com site
that I store pictures offers for a small cost that they will dump onto
a CD all my pictures. Thats an option very good for folks that have
hundreds to a thousand photos stored, and would be a great option for you
to have had that web site put onto a CD your thousands of hours
into developing your site, especially if the cost is low and you can do this
each time you put a hundred more hours into it.

... do my web site entirely on my PC
... copied it to a CD for backup.

I'm guessing you do all your web site development on that remote web site,
and not on your pc like 99DAN does.

Others here have other thoughts about this I'm sure
