M.M.; GUS; LYLE; LARRY-
IS ANYBODY OUT THERE ? ? ? ? ?

Oh well, nodded off around 1:30 and been tossing for the last 1/2 hour. Guess I've had my night's sleep.

Lyle; no need to apologize about Vinik. I'm sure that most of the people on this thread or others you discuss stocks with know who he is. Like I've said before I'm not a player, I'm in this because of an old friend and contact of mine.

Regarding Esping's contract, I downloaded about a month ago and started reading it tonight out of boredom. I believe I found it as part of an SEC filing BRC had to make. Anyway at the top of the page it says www.sec.gov. I don't know how to link it here otherwise I would. Sorry.

Regarding MD's setting prices, IMO there's half a dozen ways to get around those obviously low production costs i.e. "Oh that, that's only the bare cost of running the software through the computers. Doesn't cover personnel, G&A, preliminary evaluation and survey, transferring softward to CD's, legal fees & escrow accounts, blah, blah, blah, blah. " That's my IMO. In fact I smelled them laying the groundwork for that kind of a "cover" story when I first read MD's ( or was it Zitel's) explanation of the mechanics of processing a customer's code. Anyway, just my opinion.

MOLLY; Just to learn something here, why wouldn't a company interested in Zitel just buy their stock at the currently low prices instead of making a tendere offer nearly twice the going price? Has it got something to do with the run up to 72? Just curious how that works.

GUS; I too am willing to take you at your word because having read your posts I like the way you "carry" yourself. The question in my mind falls on the legitimacy of Jack Kings response. Again I can onlly go by what I've read of him. Statements in interviews and such. I've always considered his statements and those of Brady on the conservative side. I've never seen anything inflammatory or "promotional" in his comments. Just my opinion

Larry: Hi ! This doesn't really apply to anything you've said tonight, but I mentioned your name and don't want you feel left out so I'm addressing this question to you. As long as we're speculating about who's doing what to whom here, I have a friend locally I discussed Zitel with. He in turn discussed it with his father. Dad went to broker at Merrill Lynch who initially knew nothing of either Zitel or MD but eventually came back with the statement that Merrill Lynch had contracted them (?) for their Y2K problems. Anyway of confirming or denying something like this? I'm willing to pursue any suggestions you might have.

Well I'll dump this on the thread and see what sticks. Waiting for signs of life. If I don't get a response it's back to reruns of Highway Patrol with Broderick Crawford. Or maybe I'll throw Blue Velvet on the VCR.

D/D

P.S. I remember that Zitel has authorized buy back of their own shares some time ago. Any way of finding out if they've spent all the $5M they authorized?
