PSA: Public Service Announcement (more or less)
Sign of the times??:
I receive Windows Magazine, (CMP Media), which was given to me as an Xmas gift last year. Originally, I tried to read it, but now for the most part its function is to keep the dust from hitting the coffee table. Anyway... for some reason I was perusing the latest issue, (Aug 99), as it had not yet completed its migration from the “in mail” location to the coffee table... and happened to notice a letter FROM the editor, (pg 16), that said “this will be your last issue”. This was followed by a few paragraphs of camouflage which, when translated, said basically that NO ONE read the damn thing, so it is being discontinued in favor of an online version. As for my subscription...well, they will let me know “shortly”.
So, for any other subscribers that might be reading this... when you do not receive your copy next month it is NOT because the postman has taken up purloining your Windows Mag rather than your Playboy ... it's just a bust publication in print form!! (PW:disregard...I'm assuming you have no Playboy subscription. Besides, you and the regulars don't need Windows Mag anyway.)
