Haven't followed either company, so I'm not sure what you are thinking.

I was thinking that I would make a poor CFO. Naive, and unaware of much when it comes to 'financial engineering'. Maybe they teach this stuff when you get an MBA. A company with a CFO unaware of just what can be pulled off would be a liability and would likely impair a companies growth prospects.

Think RDRT exchanging debt, trading around 50cents on the dollar, for equity- then booking a gain on the process.

Perhaps the Wall Street Masters, by influencing a favored stock price upwards, can ultimately change outcomes when that company uses it's 'currency' to build empires.
