You don't see the importance of mosquitos? I'm shocked. buzz around buzz around

"Mosquitoes and/or their larvae provide an important food source for dragonflies, damselflies, numerous species of fish, and bats. There are likely others that I am unaware of or have forgotten.

Though they are a definite nuisance and are a prime vector for disease because of the dining habits of the female, this does not mean they have no value in nature. Speaking of nuisances and disease vectors, no one has proposed ridding the world of people with chronic or contagious diseases. All parts of the natural world have their place, even those we choose to dislike."
