><>....Michael..welcome ..and do be more specific in your suggestions....."time warp"..."early Fathers".? "better and more authoritative" than the King James....

I have no idea as to what you mean when you say "early Fathers"
Do you mean apart from the ones we have in the Bible?..KJV or otherwise....for as far as I know they are th same in all versions.

"Time warp"...really throws me..as in some of the word of God is not useful anymore?

I have found in my years of study after using multiple versions..that I enjoy them all, however, the KJV is the only one that allows a proper research of the original Lang....as it is the only one that lines up with one of the greatest scholars that this world has ever read...Dr.James Strong....The manuscripts and the langusge therein are my focus...and for that purpose only a KJV can be of assistance...so as to carry the words of the text back to the orig. Lang....

All of the versions have their place, I guess....But when one gets really serious about the orig. lang. then and only then...is it imperative to reference a KJV....for purposes of exactness, so as to have at my fingertips the manuscripts....Strongs Concordance.

Looking forward to reading your suggestions in detail...
And as to who shall feel comfortable here.....This thread was dedicated to Praise God...Our desires are to please Him.!..We know what we must do to accomplish that...for God never changes...but man...well that is a far different story..what may please him one day..might anger him another....

Gal 1:10
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
(KJV)

Have a blessed day
Shalom...><>
