Web4Boats.com Positioned to Profit From Hot Marine Marketplace

LA JOLLA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000--Market trends indicate favorable seas for Web4Boats.com (OTCBB:EBOT). Growth in the www.Web4Boats.com online classified advertising service will be fueled by all-time high U.S. boat sales.

U.S. retail boat sales reached a record $22.9 billion in 1999, following six straight years of consistent annual growth averaging nearly 17.5%. During this period, more than 4.1 million boats in all categories were sold at retail, bringing the 1999 total of U.S. boats in use to 16.8 million.(a) This growth will fuel an expansion in used boat sales for years to come.

Web4Boats.com plans to list more than 100,000 boats by July 1, the end of its first fiscal quarter, up from the 30,000 current listings. "The seller's fee for running a classified ad at www.Web4Boats.com is $14.95 per month," says Blair Merriam, General Manager. "Adding a photo costs $5.00 more. Advertisers who buy two months get a third month free. There are no other fees or commissions for buyer or seller. Web4Boats' classifieds provide greater reach and easier search compared with print media, and at a lower price."

In addition to private party boat sales, Web4Boats.com features a marketplace of boat owners' products and services, including marine insurance, equipment and accessories, fishing tackle, and boat hauling. Revenues in these categories are expected to follow the healthy trend in boat sales.

www.Web4Boats.com plans an aggressive expansion of its content and marketplace partners--as well as its classified ads--throughout 2000.
