Andy, I am in your same boat with Ascend. I first purchased the stock at $17 and have added to the postion as the stock has hit new highs. I made a earlier mistake on Cisco Systems by selling too early after a split. Asnd has 72 percent of the ISP market and the institutions own over 70-80% of the stock. I have deceided only to trade a portion of Ascend and to continue hold the first buys in the stock. I believe Ascend will split when it trades above 70. It aways has in the past.
This newly announced deal with Cisco and Strm tells me that Ascend still has the technology that the "BIG BOYS" need to increase the thoughput on the internet. You don't want to miss out on the growth in this stock. The institutional investors surely won't. _-Jay-_
