The big assumption you are making is that Netscape will not support ActiveX or VBScript. I feel Netscape will. The interesting side effect of doing this is, what will happen to Java? Netscape could potentially have problems if it alienates the hordes of PC programmers by not supporting these technologies. I guess they are too smart to pass up such an opportunity. Despite the perception, Microsoft is not the IBM of the nineties.
