Damn, Laz, I hate to have to agree with you, but I do.

The only thing is, I would prefer the gridlock to be the Repubs controlling the Senate and the Dems the House so we can get some judicial nominees off the table and into office.

But I have to agree with you that in general terms, the less the feds can do, the better.

All government should be local. All taxes should be voted on only by people who live near to you and who can't excape from meeting you in the grocery store, barber shop, etc.

It's amazing how responsive to the people a politican can be when he his electorate are his close neighbors. And it's amazing how much more effective you can be in voting good people into office when you have plenty of chance to know the personally, or at least to know first hand people who know them personally.
