Last year there was a brief article in one of the slick financial magazines on a way to play the Fidelity select funds. The strategy showed a 900% return from the period '85 to '95. Simple strategy. On the first of the year, buy the select fund with the greatest annualized return during the previous year. Repeat this strategy every year. Of course this flys in the face of the conventional wisdom against chasing hot funds, but it worked on the selects.
