I like the phrase but IMO it does not apply. I agree internal Zips are not in the normal consumer stores; Best Buy, Circuit City, Computer City & others. From doing channel checks for the last 2 years I have come to the conclusion that those stores get the consumers with the least technology awareness. Most of them would blanche at opening their computer.
I nor where I live could be called High Tech, even though Harris Corp owns about half of Melbourne. It took me 3 min. on the phone to find a local mom & pop reseller who had internal ATAPI Zip drives.I believe they are everywhere in small shops and large ones across the country. Most will even install it.
