CHINA, February 05, AsiaPort -- President Xie Keren of Compaq in China Area revealed days ago
that Compaq would further increase long-term investment and establish Compaq China Investment
Company in China this year. The work of building a factory in Shenzhen will be quickened. He also
declared that Compaq would continue to consolidate and develop the superiority of industrial standard
platform. Efforts will be made to the strengthening of production and marketing of PC. The number of
Compaq service network will be developed to 100 nation-wide. Founded in 1982, Compaq now is the
second largest computer company in the world.
