Prayer. Look at what down and has to go up if it isn't going out of business. Timing, timing, timing, and I have a very dear and wonderful and very successful broker friend who started with Shearson Leeman, then Dean Witter for 15 years, and now all three partners have moved to the big time with ML. I blundered into them in CA and he put me in MCI at 9. I had a rather psychotic ex who kept calling him suggesting we were having a personal relationship, and we decided this was so digusting it was best for me to sell and forget it. I sold MCI at 12 as a result. But, because of that we ended up lifelong friends, and I think now he has to almost consider me family.
Talked to him Friday. Very, very conservative man, never recommends anything I might lose money on. He gave me green light on GMGC but after a few cents profit taking on the move last week, (THAT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY BAD ADVICE AS THIS MAY BE ONLY GOING UP NOW TO 11) and a company that monitors meters from a central board. Goodby meter readers of America on high salaries, overtime and benefits. And then move that product to every country in the world. So, when he told me last month it was at 8, now at 14, he said buy it all the way up there is no limit.
I'm just quoting a very, very savey and wise broker here, who DOES NOT have my account "because you can really be a pain-- if anything goes down you go to pieces."
Bought EUTO at 11, after watching it go up every day for almost 2 weeks. I felt that if I watched it go up any more without having any, I wouldn't be able to live with it. As you know, that was the top. My entrance into stocks for over a year has been the invisible signal for them to dgo back way down. Really weird.
Anyway, I think I'm coming out of it. No more chasing enthusiastic crowds, and if I do, very little money and right at the first of the chase, where the children in Dolce Vita first yell, "Over there, over there!" It is so like SI in August I can't believe it. Between the Guru of OVIS and the Gurus of EUTO And JAXI, many lessons hopefully have been learned. Of course a handful made money very legally, and that's always admirable. But. |
