Hey Duncan,

It does seem odd that thay used ISDN while "on the move" since that's not typical user experience. Nonetheless, I find the experience perfectly adequate connecting to AOL at 26.4 or higher. And, yes, the AOL browser itself is slow. I downloaded AOL's winsock and run Netscape over AOL's tcp/ip stack for better performance.

Hmm, I doubt this has much impact. I mean, when you access a web page, how many machines did it get routed through before it got to yours? With an ISP, you've obviously got to get routed through their machines. Of course, since it's a ppp or slip connection, it should be incrementally faster. Has anybody benchmarked ISP/online service performance regarding web page access? It's not so easy, since it often depends on the net connection that the http server that you're connecting to has.
