This analyst that I know is currently researching AMAT. He has yet to produce his report, but so far he has publicly stated that their business is good, but not good enough to deserve these lofty valuations. He has further publicly stated, that AMAT is valued like they are at the bottom of their business cycle (with no where to go but up), yet it may be a fact that they are at the top of a cycle (this of course should concern any short term investor). He indicates that some of AMATs customers have just recently pushed out their backlogs, and are delaying the receipt of ordered equipment. This of course would indicate the top of a cycle.
