No, you are buying it from a for profit company that has employees that want to be paid and one or more owner that wants to use their system as a vehicle to become rich.

TurboTax is produced by a for-profit company. It's a HUGE cost saving and productivity tool.

The last revision added a bunch of privacy restrictions
