Oh, pshaw, Mq....This sentence sent me into a fit of giggles....."virtuous" Victorian Values.....hehehe...

A return to Virtuous Victorian Values and reviewing of the seven cardinal sins would be a good place to start.

You should give the talk instead of me....at least I could guarantee no one would fall asleep with your sense of humor and sometimes out and out wisdom.....

England had bigger fish to fry in 1812. Napoleon was being really annoying, Australia, NZ, Canada/Quebec, South Africa, India, China were all looming as parts of the British Empire to be civilized and minded. A bunch of bolshie Irish and slave-driving others in the USA were not worth putting too much effort into. Slavery was not allowed by England but the Americans thought it a spiffing idea.
