Wish I could agree with you, but I think there is ample reason to think that many independents and most Rino's wouldn't vote for Santorum, because they don't want another "bible thumper" in the WH....Wish that wasn't true, but I fear it is..... Out here in Seattle, many of the Dem women that voted for Obama, are seeing some of the effects and problems he has caused for their families, but don't want religion to be spread from the WH microphone. We need all the votes we can muster......So we just have to have someone the people will vote for....yes, even cross over voters. I've heard two families (that should know better) say they liked Obama care for 1) one couple has children out of college and looking for jobs that need insurance and can't afford it. O'care allows them to keep the kids out of college on their insurance until they can find a job....and 2) one couple likes O'care because of the 'donut hole' help. Their medical bills (these weren't covered by insurance) were over $17,000+....mostly because of cancer meds and heart meds.....O'care helps pay for some of that now.... So we don't know how many voter will vote with their pocket books, but my guess is that many of us will.... Most here will vote for ABO, but others have other problems to deal with, IN ADDITION to the ones that most of us face.... So the trick is how to have a Candidate that isn't perfect necessarily, but one that will be better than Obama.....
