Ken -

AOL is a money machine with a certain, clear and bright future?

Fine. Then can you explain why they:

made only 19 million bucks last quarter on over 500 million in revenues,

lost money the quarter before that,

made just a few million the quarter before that,

and lost money the quarter before that?

My understanding is that AOL has a constant turnover of subscribers, and spends hundreds of dollars to recruit each new one. The subscribers then pay a whopping 20 bucks a month.

Do you think that maintaining that huge network of theirs doesn't cost money? Where do you get the idea that they have nothing to do but keep from losing existing customers? Obviously, they have to continue to grow their subscriber base, or they won't be able to grow ad revenues.
