Thanks for the all the info. To date I have not been closely following much outside of the tech stocks area, notable exceptions being DIS, PIXR, PFE. I have a good handle on technology, but not much else yet. Following index movements of not tech sectors sounds like a good place to start. I have loosely followed ^DDX because I own SEG 1/00 LEAPS. Now I will look for other 'tech' indexes to follow as well.

PS. Had limited online last week but now I'm back from my LONG trip and the holidays. On 11/24 sold 4 PIXR dec 50 puts for 6.5, thanks to downgrade by prudential to HOLD just a couple of days after reiterating a STRONG BUY. (And brokerages call individual investors fickle?)
