And that guy, FDR, who saved the world for democracy by defeating fascism? He was a fascist too.

He defeated fascism abroad, but there is plenty of documentation of his own fascist agenda. I don't recall that FDR ever suggested "democracy" was a reason for becoming involved in the war effort, as you suggested.
