Let me correct myself. The Nov 30 calls DIDNT move today, so I have obviously misread Stocksmarts listings. I checked them on the CBOE website and find that the last sale (Nov 30 c) was at 8 7/8 -- but they now are quoted at b 5 1/8, a 5 5/8. That's about right considering share price. The 8 7/8 sale must have been earlier in the week, at the time of the Roche announcement. Despite the screw up, it is useful to look follow AFFX option activity on CBOE.. in sum, it shows only modest trading in options for the last few days, with more open positions on the put side than the call side... so the "smart" money is looking for a slide toward 30.
