i believe that the NC application would be great for say - a company with a large customer service phone sales/order taking staff.

say, a catalog company... these operators don't need to stuff like work in Excel or do anthing other than enter/edit orders into their central database.

another good example - a hospital to maintain patient records.

as for power users - hell, i would be really pissed if my PPro were taken away and i got some NC. i would think that it would run like a "dog" too compared to the great perfomance i get now (albeit, i'm still forced to putting off upgrading to WinNT).

however, i don't see why these NCs and the n/w's they're attached to couldn't be as powerful/fast/application-rich as the current PCs soon enough. if they weren't, then i don't know why MSFT and INTC would be rushing to get on the NC bandwagon...
