I do pretty much the same as tc. I used to use a network drive to store the image on, but now I use a second internal drive. If your boot drive is physically okay, you just restore the image to it through the program, which can be run in Dos. Otherwise you restore it to a new drive or partition. I have a bootable rescue cd I made that works fine for this purpose. The images I've restored so far have not been due to drive failure, so I've just started the Drive Image program right in Windows.
