Coming from a self-proclaimed "free speech" advocate that actively attempted, with Elgindy, to quash art exhibitions, and other persons' first amendment rights (artists), I'm not surprised about "your version" of the 11/4 NY Times article.

There were TWO transactions. One was PRE-9/11, a donation to to bin-Laden's Blessed Relief. The other transaction was for "$300k". It was a FAILED attempt to liquidate his kid's trust account before Sept. 11, 2001 and the transcation wasn't settled until POST 9/11.

That's funny. My version of the NY Times says nothing of the sort. In one paragraph it quotes hearsay from Cleveland about information he allegedly received from yet another source about $6M liquidated from Elgindy's childrens' trust accounts. As the press has been reporting for years (including the NY Times) this figure was only $300K. The next paragraph (important grammatical note: changes in paragraphs in the English language often denote changes in topics) states Elgindy possibly gave some money to Mercy International. It absolutely doesn't say he wired it, states any amount at all, or implies it was the trust fund money.

Seeing that you pose as a free speech crusader while at the same time > try to quash other's free rights (artists) and because of your failure to comprehend the law in your reading of it, it doesn't surprise me you can't understand the author of the 11/04 article informing you THERE ARE TWO TRANSACTIONS IN QUESTION. ONE is POST 9/11, ONE WAS PRE-9/11. The amount in the Children's Trust was $300k. The TOTAL of BOTH TRANSACTIONS, pre AND post 9/11 is $6 MILLION. Do the math.
