PR machine still cranking:
ETPI's Performance Sound & Light Division Reports Brisk Holiday Sales
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 14, 1999--Entertainment Technologies & Programs Inc. (OTCBB:ETPI), a fully reporting, diversified company, today reports brisk sales for its Performance Sound & Light (PS&L) division. Holiday sales from the final week of November to date are $125,000, in line with projected revenues for the period of $117,000. PS&L projects total revenues of $1.9 million for fiscal year 2000.
Performance Sound & Light reported strong sales in all three of its sales categories, including sales to sister-company NiteLife Entertainment, U.S. Military sales and civilian sector sales. Consumer sales represent the highest growth potential of all PS&L markets, driven by its direct mail catalog and the company's Internet site performance-s-l.com. Hits to the site have increased nearly 1000% since the site's debut in December of last year. The increase in the number of visitors to the PS&L Web site continues to strengthen the company's customer mailing list, which in turn increases new customer sales and reorders from existing customers.
"Our Web site has really increased our exposure this holiday season," commented PS&L President, Patrick Chapman. "For the first time since PS&L was founded our products are gaining exposure among a much wider range of consumers, not just professional sound equipment buyers. Mothers are calling in to order DJ equipment as holiday gifts for their teenagers. We are also receiving orders from consumers who want professional grade sound equipment for their homes. Our Internet site enables us to reach this broad range of consumers, and increases our customer base. Over the next year, we expect to see substantial repeat business as these new clients upgrade and add capabilities to their DJ or home systems."
