Why stay in a market with no or little upside potential and risk increasing?

For people who have high amounts of gains a flat market may be acceptable compared with losing 30+% to the tax man and having alot less to reenter the market at a later time.

Each person has to calculate their own impact. And I think that is why BB hesitates to make blanket statements. Especially if he is not sure yet if the market will be down or flat.

I think BB realizes how much power his statements have and he is being very carefull.
