It's Fidelity thrashing about. They never should've sold tech stocks a year ago. They made up for their mistake during the last 3 months. A better comparison would the July-Aug 1995 prices vs. today's prices. It wouldn't look like a 60% return if you chose those end points. The biggest financial scandal today is the management of the largest mutual funds. Take advantage of their stupidity.
