how soon you forget that Mike Magee was the one who broke the Alpha Sale story 1st. That's true. He gets a few right and a few wrong. That's the way it is when your M.O. is reporting on rumors, hearsay, spies, whatever. I think he's way off this time though (scuttling Itanium for Alpha). Probably ultimately see some Alpha good stuff in Madison, or so, like maybe bus details, and Alpha compilers worked in also. Best of both worlds: Itanium and Alpha. Scary, huh? Why worry about it, AMD will no more compete in that space out in that timeframe than they do today. Tony
