After all it is going to gap up tomorrow (or today) morning. The guarantee did the trick, I think. After UBS, even Lehman came out with a negative report just before the close. Just a thought. Companies have quiet period before their earnings. So it would be nice if the brokerage mafia also had some sort of quiet period before the earnings. Otherwise the brokerage houses are taking undue advantage of this quiet period. Law makers or SEC might as well as add this clause during this "cooking the books clean up operation".
