Right after we apologize for being anti-Communist because after the USSR broke up, violence broke out in Chechnya, Georgia, etc. Everything is America's fault to some people. Yes, it's bad to overthrow a Stalinist-style tyrant because the people he oppressed and suppressed MIGHT make poor use of their freedom. What kind of cockeyed argument is that? The kind that appeals to the blame-America-first-for-everything crowd. The Iraqi people have a chance to create a multi-ethnic democracy. And we should help them in that effort. But a chance is all anyone gets in life. If it actually goes well (a long shot), And if that happens will antiwar people apologize for their arguments that the bloody dictator should have been left alone?
