I just called AOL , and spoke to them about the web page , your stand correct, I now shut up !! :-} However I went to the AOL web page and could find nothing. They really should advertise this more, to me thats very important to have space for a homepage.

Your comment on the PPP is what I was referring to. I get in direct, so its much faster. I have witnessed AOL, it was very slow most of the time. I had the same problem when I had Netcom. If AOL could offer a direct PPP locally then I would say the local ISP providers could be in trouble, But the cost to AOL to do such a think would be quite high because they would have to have all the ppp's locally with a direct link. So I doubt you will see that happen.
I really like my local ISP , but even in all my "AOL bashing posts"
I have always said if you like the service use it, but for spending
most of the time online on the Internet instead of in AOL land , AOL is not the best choice.
Do you use AOL yourself??
