Generalized studies IMHO are not worth much. Almost none of their conclusions are mechanically repeatable (as poor O'Shaughnessy results have shown) and there is no proof that you still outperform if you use their criterion but filter on it (or use another worse criterion and filter on that one).

Isn't EBITDA/EV (part of) magic formula and also what Clownbuck uses? (Or perhaps Clownbuck uses some kind of FCF - he can correct me. :)).

I look at E/EV, but perhaps I should make an effort to use OCF/FCF or similar.
