Almost 2 trillion in new debt I'd call bankrupting the government, especially if Bush can make those tax cuts permanent, the gov just wont be able to afford to help retiring Baby Boomers. No amount of trickle down economics will work here, and Bush also wants to increase the already very high defense spending. As Arnold is finding out in California, you actually have to pay for things with real money.
