That is so clear that only the most oblivious (sorry!) could not understand it. Why we tolerate this is way beyond me.

I've heard that phrase before, and it is common among people with that background. The way I heard it was HNIC, where the H stood for Head, the IC stood for In Charge, and I'm not going to utter the N.

As a black man, he said, "I am the MFIC." The IC meant "in charge".
